How Do I Change the Picture on My Google My Business Listing?

They say a photo is worth a thousand words, but I like to say that a Google My Business photo is worth a thousand potential customers.

Whenever a potential customer comes across your Google My Business listing, the photos on your profile are an important part of your business’s first impression and your ability to compete with other businesses in your area.

If you want to update the profiles on your Google My Business profiles, just follow the 5 steps below:

Updating the Photo on Your Google My Business Listing

The images on your Google My Business profile should be clear, professional, and appropriate for your business. These images are a major factor in a potential customer’s first impression of your business, so make sure you’re putting your best foot forward with great images.

Once you have new images ready to go, here’s how you can go about updating the photo on your Google My Business listing:

Step 1: Log into Your Profile

Step 5: Crop Your Image

Keep in mind that, if you are uploading a new logo, you will be prompted to crop the image so that it fits perfectly! Uploading a new cover image or general photo to your profile will not require that you crop the image.

Step 6: Set Your Image

Once you’ve properly cropped and selected your image, go ahead and click “Set Logo” and you’re done!

Uploading an Image to Your Profile

If you need to upload a new image or video to your profile, you have a few options to make that happen!

First, follow steps 1 & 2 from the list above. Then, you can click on the “+” button or the “Add Videos” or “Add Photos” buttons that I highlighted with the red arrow and red boxes!

Seriously, it’s as easy as that.

Dimensions for Google My Business Pictures

If you are uploading a new logo or cover image for your profile, pay close attention to the dimensions that you’re using so that your images don’t get cut off.

Cover images for Google My Business should be sized 1024 x 576 pixels.

Logos for Google My Business should be square – usually 500 x 500 pixels!
